'Absence Of Signs Of Resistance Not Ground To Disbelieve Rape Victim': Jharkhand High Court
The Jharkhand HC has held that the absence of signs of struggle or resistance on the body of a rape victim cannot, by itself, be a ground to disbelieve her testimony, particularly where the victim was a minor and the medical evidence corroborates the occurrence.
A Division Bench of Justice Ananda Sen and Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava heard the appeal filed by the appellants challenging their conviction under Section 376(D) of the IPC and Sections 4, 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act, 2012.

Jio opposes TRAI’s 80% network slicing threshold, says it could trigger false congestion alerts
In its September 15 counter-comments to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) consultation on amendments to the 2024 Quality of Service (QoS) regulations, Jio opposed mandatory prior notification of network slicing and restrictions based on an 80% Physical Resource Block (PRB) utilisation threshold.
Airtel similarly opposed TRAI’s proposed 21-day advance notification requirement, arguing that it could delay enterprise deployments, emergency services and other specialised applications requiring rapid network configuration.

Climate change may increase the ibisbill’s habitat range, but other pressures loom
“Because of their limited sightings and ranges restricted to remote uninhabited areas, knowledge on their ecology and behaviour is limited,” she says.
The other conditions of the river that are impacted by human activities will also determine the suitability of an area for the species to occupy, he clarifies adding that climatic suitability does not ensure habitat suitability.
As a result, scientists still know little about their breeding, feeding, movements, population size and how they respond to environmental change — gaps that make conservation planning difficult.

Mars’s oddest cloud may be even odder than we thought
Scientists using the European Space Agency's Mars Express, in combination with a state-of-the-art meteorological model of the Red Planet, have found that there may be some very exotic physics behind Mars’s most curious cloud.
While some aspects of the modelled cloud don’t exactly match the observations, “the result is remarkable,” says Jorge.

The forgetful CPU (Linux on M4)
For now, m1n1 didn’t start the secondary cores because smp_start_offset was missing (an offset hardcoded in m1n1; without it, smp_init is skipped).
This work has so far uncovered and addressed a fundamental issue with running Linux on the M4 and later Apple Silicon chips, allowing Linux to boot to a shell with all cores usable (the same WFI workarounds have been found to work on M4 Pro, M4 Max and M5 chips!).

The catalog lists 2026-09-30 as the due date; that date had passed by this edition.
Why it matters Its inclusion in CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog indicates evidence of exploitation in the wild.

Unvalidated npm trusted publishing configurations now expire
Unvalidated npm trusted publishing configurations now expire 48 hours after creation and can no longer authorize publishing.
Changing the repository or project identity requires a new trust relationship with a fresh 48-hour validation window—ordinary edits don’t restart the deadline.
Expired configurations remain visible in trusted publisher settings but don’t count toward per-package limits.
